Since pop culture has accelerated to the top of social media and the fashion industry, kids out there would make rush to the mall and get their hair specifically looking like their favorite celeb. It didn't take long until you'd see them on Twitter/Instagram with purple hair messed up in a bun.
They must be the popular ones. You know, those hot girls who first started to wear crop tops with high waisted shorts. Back up about a year ago, everyone shaved their sides to look like Rihanna or Avril or Demi. Now, we have likes like Miley or Shailene who would lead you to chop off all your hair.
If you're one of those girls, or maybe just looking for a new 'do', I highly recommend,
'The One Length'.
So basically I need not to explain to you what that is, but for those who want to confirm what I'm referring to, One Length is a hairstyle in which the ends of the hair are all in one line, much looking like the time you open a fresh pack of hard and uncooked pasta sticks.
But why am I recommending this?
Because it is based on my own experience.
I have volumy, strong hair. Since I was a youngster, I would drop by the beauty parlor to get my hair refreshed after 6 months time. And every single time they would layer my hair. I was okay with it. Back then.
At age of 12, I started to realise that I didn't like the look of my hair. It was volumy on every layer and I thought it shaped like a rotten pumpkin. The worst thing I could remember about my super layered hair is that: I had so much hair on the top area and so little in the ends, so my longest hairs are at such high risk of falling off.
A few more hair struggles had past until I found pictures of models on runways and editorials with straight, one length hair. I thought to myself, Wow. I want this.
But in order to get this hair style, I had to cut my hair to my shoulder. That meant I might experience the same thing I've experienced in those dark days. (Because I had layered and short hair, i looked like an apple.) So I was both very excited and hesitant of this decision. I couldn't just cut it all up after I've grew my with so much effort. But I was still optimistic about it. Knowing in my gut that this would be good.
After that decision my hair is now still one length and I get my ends trimmed just a tiny bit every now and then. I've never been more proud of my hair.
Here's what i love about it:
One Length is definitely an iconic look because It's the very basic. It's a staple look for a happy and joyful girl. At the same time it is to also mysterious mature girl.
I find women with beautiful one length hair very sophisticated and knows what she is doing. To maintain a clean one length it would take so much effort that Just a few weeks of forgotten treatment and careless washing, it would lead to a disaster. Your ends would start to look zig-zaggy and the whole beauty to it would slowly fade. That's the biggest con of this look, I suppose.
I would suggest to give this look a try. weather your hair is thick or thin, Long or short.
But remember to treat your hair. Because if you do, it's surely worth the effort.

Here's what i love about it:
- It looks simple and elegant
- I found it easier to style it (curl, updo's)
- There is no 'One strand flying away' business
- There is no fallouts (tiny strands that don't get into the hair band) when tying my hair
- I look good with headbands and head scarfs
- I would look good in bangs anytime I choose to make them
- I can just give my hair a quick comb and it's 100% Ready-To-Go
- It can be classy to sexy in 0.002 seconds depending on how you deliver it
- It goes with everything I wear
